Appeal to all our Postmaster Community

Thank you all for your positive response to hold a meeting . Since this  is going to be our first meeting there is considerable gap of communication. I appeal everyone who visit our blog to make others visit this blog and send feed back on the proposed meeting . Basing on your proposal , time and venue will be decided. But the date of meeting  will not change. Let us hope every one of us take a part in the meeting. We heard somebody saying not this time or next time. This will only lead to postponement.  Since it is about a year after this cadre is born , we hope there is every need to hold a meeting. This postmaster community does not belong to any particular trade union or association. Our interest is as a group with common interest. But we support every trade union who fight for our legitimate rights.As far as proposed strike is concerned, everybody is free to decide to go for or against the strike decision. It is purely individual. Our postmaster Community as a whole has nothing to do with the strike. Unless we decide what we really need ,  we can not ask. 

We also request you to post your comments on the blog . It will help others know what the other postmaster is saying. Every time we can not hold meetings. We can meet on the blog like this. We request you all to encourage this blog to do better in the future.

Before you decide to come or not , decide if we indeed have anything lacking in our office. Like financial power, disciplinary powers, recruitment powers besides acute staff shortage, deputations, no financial upgradation in pay , not even single increment let alone next grade pay. 

Can we ask the above issues ourselves or ask trade unions to ask on behalf of us. Please come out with a decision . Discuss well and deliberate them to us . We are no the leaders but only partakers of the event. We want leaders who can organise this meeting.

  2. unions are demanding for filling up of all LSG/HSG-II/HSG-I posts by promotion and after that to the Postmaster cadre. If so, when we will get Gr.II and Gr.III promotion???

    this is nothing but descrimination among us...

GRANT OF TA & TRANSIT (TA & TP) TO OFFICIALS TRANSFERRED ON COMPLETION OF TENURE TO THE PLACE OF THEIR CHOICE . A proposal on grant TA and transit to officials who are transferred on completion of tenure to the place of their choice was under consideration in this Directorate for sometime past.      SR-114 governs TA on transfer distinguishes between transfer for public convenience and transfer on own request.  Although transfer on completion of tenure in one office has not been specifically referred to in this rule, yet the transfer on completion of tenure is a transfer for public convenience.  On completion of tenure, the official has to be transferred out for operational reasons.  Therefore, such a transfer is mandatory, while posting to a place of choice is secondary and subject to public convenience.  In view of this posting to a place of choice after completion of full tenure may not be normally termed as a "transfer on own request" under SR-114.      It
