SRI D.S.K.PRASAD, C/S, AIAPS(GL) HAD VISITED CIRCLE OFFICE TO ENQUIRE ABOUT REGULAR/ADHOC PROMOTIONS IN THE CADRE OF POST MASTER.  IT IS LEARNT THAT DUE TO VARIOUS TECHNICAL REASONS, THE PROCESS OF ISSUING PROMOTION EITHER ON REGULAR OR AD-HOC IS YET TO BE STARTED. WE HOPE THAT PROCESS WILL START IN THIS WEEK AND IT WILL TAKE 30 TO 45 DAYS APPROXIMATELY TO COMPLETE THE PROCESS.

AIAPS had taken up the issue of granting better pay scales to General line supervisor as well as Post Master Cadre officials.  Our views as published in this blog along with opinions received from members  are consolidated by our General Secretary Shri Manoj Bharadwajji to present in the meeting to be held today in the Directorate. As all members demanded for GP 4200 for LSG/Gr.I PM; GP 4600 for HSG-II/Gr.II and GP 4800 for HSG-I/Gr.III officials, we have submitted valid reasons in our report.  Let us hope that both unions should also give support to our genuine demand. Dear Post Masters, Everybody, now, understand the recommendations of VII CPC. Regarding Post Master cadre there is one positive recommendation that officers in Post Master Grade-III and Grade-II will be allowed to appear LDCE for 75% of Sr. Post master posts along with Inspector Posts cadre officials.  After accepting this recommendation by the Government, DoP will take action for revision of Sr. Post Master recruitment rules for that at least 2 to 3 years will takes place.  There is no clarity on qualifying service in Post Master Grade-II and Grade-III cadre. In depth analysis revealed that we have only 1000+ posts in Post Master Grade-II and Grade-III all over India.  Getting Grade-II promotion is a difficult task as only 33.3% posts are available when compare with no. of Grade-I PM posts.
