Leave Travel Concession for Central Government employees is likely to be extended to cover trips to foreign countries too. Although these are unconfirmed reports, we are sharing the news reports that have appeared in leading English newspapers recently.  Traveling abroad is a dream for most Indian families. Strike: The year began with a collective decision of all employees federations to go on a strike demanding, among other things, 50% DA merger, and date of effect of the 7th CPC. When it became clear that there was going to be a change of government at the Centre, the federations began to plan their moves in order to somehow convince the Congress Government to accept their demands. At last, the Confederation alone held protests on February 10 and 11. Other federations announced that they want to resolve the issue by holding talks and withdrew their strike plans. The All-India CPI-IW for November, 2014 remained stationary at 253 (two hundred and fifty three). Grant of Split duty allowance to HSG II, HSG I Postmaster Grade II, Postmaster Grade III SPMs/PMs par with other officials. Split duty allowance is not being paid to the above category of officials even though they are put into split duty like other officials as they fall under Group ‘B’ classification. Split duty allowance may be paid to the above category officials ordered for split duty irrespective of their classification.

Since the officials in the Group ‘B’ are not granted Split duty allowance as per DOPT orders, it will be examined whether they should be put on Split duty or not.
