Dear Post Masters,
Everybody, now, understand the recommendations of VII CPC. Regarding Post Master cadre there is one positive recommendation that officers in Post Master Grade-III and Grade-II will be allowed to appear LDCE for 75% of Sr. Post master posts along with Inspector Posts cadre officials. After accepting this recommendation by the Government, DoP will take action for revision of Sr. Post Master recruitment rules for that at least 2 to 3 years will takes place. There is no clarity on qualifying service in Post Master Grade-II and Grade-III cadre. In depth analysis revealed that we have only 1000+ posts in Post Master Grade-II and Grade-III all over India. Getting Grade-II promotion is a difficult task as only 33.3% posts are available when compare with no. of Grade-I PM posts. Very meager officials will be benefited by this recommendation.
Service unions/associations is failed to project operative side work before VII CPC. From V CPC, operative side supervisors are not getting fair salary when compare with their work and responsibilities. That's why most of LSG, HSG-II and HSG-I posts are lying vacant. That's why Post Master Cadre was introduced by the Department against the will/wish of service unions. Now, officials joined in the Post Master cadre, after successfully came out from competitive exam, are in confusion state whether to continue or go back to PA cadre????
On comparision, Post Master duties having much responsibilities. In the present scenario, he has to lead the office in on-line environment besides discharging traditional duties. Facing public complaints directly at field level is a big challenge to Post Master cadre officials as they are in-charges of big Post Offices. We felt that by taking all above aspects into considerations, Postal Directorate will diffinitely recommend fair salaries compare to other cadres. Unfortunately, VII CPC also not commended on this aspect except permission to appear for LDCE examination. Actually we asked VII CPC for permission to LDCE exam from Post Master Grade-I officials.
We have limited options. Submit declination letters a mass to Directorate for showing step-mother treatment on Post Master cadre. Other one is implement work to rule in our office or approaching CAT in all benches for fair pay.....
comments are invited....
IN MY VIEW MASS RESIGNATION MAY NOT WORK IN PRACTICAL.SO BETTER TO APPROACH CAT IN ALL BENCHES.
ReplyDeletepm cadre officials may be given opportunity to appear for pss group B examination..... vide ip's and pm officials both are eligible to sr postmaster examination. and the syllabus for both the exams are same.. both the posts are gazetted goup B posts... why this unjustice?????? we can demand to allow pm officials to PSS Group B exam also.....aiapc jindabad jindabad........fight for success....success is ours ever.
