It can be seen that Postmaster has to act as caretaker of the building. But why the department is not granting Caretaking allowance when the MOF has given orders(Click here to view/download GOI,MOF, DoE , OM No. F.No.7(21)2008-E III(A) Dated 22.09.2008) to grant caretaking allowance. Is it not unjustified.

Comments

  1. That's why the department has no future. Even the postal bank will be postal blank of india i.e without postal employees. The officials/officers who create such type of works for the postmasters might have felt that there is no future for them and hence want to make a futureless department. Nodal officers of divisional office have NREGS incentive but no share of frauds. Postmasters have no incentives but only shares and responsibilities. I feel that Postmasters will be straight away absorbed as Managers of Post Bank of India and not any other cadre/officials. Just wait and watch
