POSTINGS/TRANSFERS IN THE CADRE OF POST MASTER GRADE-III IN VIJAYAWADA REGION.

No. ST-I/13-1/Postmaster Grade-III Dated at Vijayawada-520 003 the 08-08-2014. 
          In pursuance of the orders contained in Directorate letter 4-28/2013-SPB.II dated 15-05-2013 read with Circle Office memo no. ST/4-2(P)/2011 dated 07-08-2014, the competent authority has ordered the following promotions to the cadre of Postmaster Grade-III against the vacancies for the year 2014, in the pay scale of Rs.9300-34,800 with Grade Pay Rs.4600/- to the following Postmaster Grade-II officials with immediate effect and until further orders

        The official may be relieved immediately to join in the Postmasters Grade III post in case there are no vigilance/disciplinary cases pending against them. 

            The Divisional Heads are directed to relieve the officials forthwith  and direct them to join in the Postmasters Grade-III before 14.08.2014 as the officials have opted for the Postmasters Grade and hence they are not allowed to withdraw the same.  The date of joining of officials in the cadre of Postmaster Grade-III may please be intimated in due course.

GRANT OF TA & TRANSIT (TA & TP) TO OFFICIALS TRANSFERRED ON COMPLETION OF TENURE TO THE PLACE OF THEIR CHOICE . A proposal on grant TA and transit to officials who are transferred on completion of tenure to the place of their choice was under consideration in this Directorate for sometime past.      SR-114 governs TA on transfer distinguishes between transfer for public convenience and transfer on own request.  Although transfer on completion of tenure in one office has not been specifically referred to in this rule, yet the transfer on completion of tenure is a transfer for public convenience.  On completion of tenure, the official has to be transferred out for operational reasons.  Therefore, such a transfer is mandatory, while posting to a place of choice is secondary and subject to public convenience.  In view of this posting to a place of choice after completion of full tenure may not be normally termed as a "transfer on own request" under SR-114.      It
