MINUTES OF FOUR MONTHLY MEETING HELD WITH CHIEF PMG

INFORMAL MEETING WITH CHIEF PMG WAS HELD AT C.O. IN A CONGENIAL ATMOSPHERE.  THEY STATED THAT IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO GIVE REPLIES IN WRITING AS IT IS INFORMAL MEETING ONLY.  THE FOLLOWING REPLIES WERE GIVEN ACROSS THE TABLE.

 1) PROBATIONARY DECLARATION IN R/O GRADE-II PMs WAS ISSUED ONE WEEK BACK.  REGARDING GRADE-I PMs, IT IS UNDER PROCESS.

 2) FILLING UP OF 6 VACANT GRADE-II PM POSTS AMONG QUALIFIED GRADE-I PMs IS UNDER PROCESS.

 3) CHIEF PMG SIR NOT AGREED TO GIVE INFORMAL MEETING TO US AT REGIONAL LEVEL.

 4) REGARDING PROVIDING COMPUTER TO THE POST MASTER, THEY ADVISED THAT ONE SYSTEM FROM AVAILABLE SYSTEMS MAY BE TAKEN FOR SUPERVISORY DUTIES.  REMAINING SYSTEMS MAY BE DISTRIBUTED TO COUNTERS/BRANCHES.

 5) REMAINING ITEMS, THEY SAID THAT THESE ARE POLICY MATTERS AND HENCE C.O. CAN NOT TAKE ANY DECISION.

ENHANCEMENT OF FINANCIAL POWERS OF HSG, HSG-II AND LSG POST MASTERS ( THESE ORDERS ARE IN FORCE. Revised norms of work of Postmen----for information of supervisory cadre

Department in Memo No 9-1/2005-WSI/PE-I dated 5.2.2010 has revised the norms for Postmen establishment as follows. The revised norms will also be applicable for GDS MD as per note below Rule 106 of Volume VI Part III. The Head of Circles and Regional PMsG are requested to undertake a review of the implementation of revised norms after six months and provide the for assessing the impact of new norms and undetaking a fresh review if considered necessary.
