Issue of Inj. CABAZITAXEL for CGHS BENEFICIARIES.


Cabazitaxel is a type of chemotherapy drug. It is meant for treating advanced prostate cancer that is no longer responding to hormone therapy.
CGHS Medical Store Department, Directorate General of Central Government health scheme  has issued an instruction  regarding supply of Cabazitaxel to CGHS Benfeciaries.
It is instructed that Cabazitaxel can be issued to CGHS beneficiaries suffering from Carcinoma prostrate  as a second line therapy only in “Docetaxel Resistant cases”.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject : Issue of Inj. CABAZITAXEL for CGHS BENEFICIARIES.
The undersigned is directed to refer to the subject mentioned above and to state that Inj. CABAZITAXEL is being issued to CGHS beneficiaries for treatment of Carcinoma Prostate through Medical Store Depot, Gole Market, New Delhi.
Now the matter has been examined by committee of experts and it is decided that Inj. Cabazitaxel can be issued to CGHS beneficiaries suffering from Carcinoma Prostate as a second line therapy only in “Docetaxel Resistant cases”. It can be prescribed by Medical Oncologist, Urologist and Radiotherapist only.

Department in Memo No 9-1/2005-WSI/PE-I dated 5.2.2010 has revised the norms for Postmen establishment as follows.
