Air Travel on LTC once in Ten Years to visit foreign countries – WB State Govt Orders issued on 9.10.2015
The state government of West Bengal issued orders on availing of Leave Travel Concession (LTC) to foriegn countires, such as, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives… GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL FINANCE DEPARTMENT AUDIT BRANCH No.7370-F(F) Dated: 09.10.2015 MEMORANDUM At present the State Government employees may avail themselves of the benefit of Leave Travel Concession once in service career during the period of five years preceding the actual date of retirement on superannuation for the following kinds of journeys, subject to the conditions as in this department’s Memo Nos. 9924-F dt. 07.12.2005 and 607 -F dt. 20.01.2006. 1. For journeys to respective home town and back, provided the home town is different from the place of posting; and 2. For journeys to any place of India and back. Singapore has carried out the world's first point-to-point postal delivery by drone SingPost and IDA Singapore has successfully performed the world's first delivery of mail by drone, conducting a test flight carrying a letter and a parcel with a T-shirt, which crossing from one island to another. While there have been other similar postal-delivery-by-drone trials conducted by DHL in Germany, Swiss Post in Switzerland and the Posti Group in Finland , Singapore Post (SingPost) claims that this is the first time that an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has been used for point-to-point recipient-authenticated mail delivery. A 1992 batch IPoS officer, Vekateswarlu is now postmaster general in Kerala. It may be recalled here government recently has set up Bhogapuram International Airport Corporation Limited (BIACL) to implement the airport development project.Sri. Venkateswarlu will also look after the Inland Water Ways Authority works also.
