APPEX-2014 -ANDHRA PRADESH (AP & TELANGANA STATES) STATE LEVEL PHILATELIC EXHIBITION

Appex-2014, Andhra Pradesh State Level Philatelic Exhibition will be held at Vedika Function Hall, Benz Circle, Vijayawada from 24th to 26th July 2014. The AP Postal Circle is organising the event with the aim of promoting the habit of postal stamp collection among the people.
Shri B. V. Sudhakar, Chief Postmaster General, Andhra Pradesh Postal Circle unveiled the APPEX-2014 logo on 1st July 2014. He said that several philatelists who have been passionately collecting stamps for decades will exhibit their valuable collections in the three-day event. He also flagged off a publicity van 'Naandi Ratham' to create awareness about philately among the public and promote the habit. The van depicts colourful paintings by children on themes like environment and girl child safety, among others. Postmasters General Ms. Sandhya Rani (BD), Shri M. Sampath (Vijayawada Region) and Mrs. M. Sharada Sampath (Vishakhapatnam Region) were also present on the occasion.

GRANT OF TA & TRANSIT (TA & TP) TO OFFICIALS TRANSFERRED ON COMPLETION OF TENURE TO THE PLACE OF THEIR CHOICE . A proposal on grant TA and transit to officials who are transferred on completion of tenure to the place of their choice was under consideration in this Directorate for sometime past.      SR-114 governs TA on transfer distinguishes between transfer for public convenience and transfer on own request.  Although transfer on completion of tenure in one office has not been specifically referred to in this rule, yet the transfer on completion of tenure is a transfer for public convenience.  On completion of tenure, the official has to be transferred out for operational reasons.  Therefore, such a transfer is mandatory, while posting to a place of choice is secondary and subject to public convenience.  In view of this posting to a place of choice after completion of full tenure may not be normally termed as a "transfer on own request" ...
