Declaration of result of LDCE for the promotion to the cadre of Inspector Posts & LDCE for promotion to the cadre of Postmaster Grade-I ..... an update.

Result of LDCE for promotion to the cadre of  PM Grade-I held on 30/6/2013 was declared by Directorate. The copy of result will be placed on blog shortly. Result of LDCE for the promotion to cadre of Inspector Posts held on 14th and 15th September 2013 is likely to be declared soon.

IN MADHAYA PRADESH POSTAL CIRCLE, UNDER THE MGNREGA EFMS SCHEME ,MORE    THAN 100000 FTOs HAVE BEEN PROCESSED WHICH IS HIGHEST AMONG ALL THE   POSTAL CIRCLES OF INDIA. THE WAGE /AMOUNT OF THE BENEFICIARIES GETS    TRANSFERRED DIRECTLY IN THEIR ACCOUNTS THROUGH SANCHAY POST. AND THE    PAYMENT OF THE BENEFICIARY GETS DONE IN A QUICK AND ACCURATE MANNER. UNDER THIS SCHEME, IN DHAR HEAD POST OFFICE, APPROXIMATELY   6000 FTOs HAVE BEEN PROCESSED. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS , MR. AJAY BAFNA,   POSTMASTER ,HEAD POST OFFICE,DHAR 454001 HAS BEEN HONORED BY THE    COLLECTOR, DHAR DISTRICT ON THE REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION ORGANISED BY    THE DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION OF DHAR DISTRICT.

Ms P. Gopinath Secretary (Posts), Col. K C Mishra VSM Chief PMG Maharashtra Circle, Ms K. Shanti Nair, CPMG Tamil Nadu, Ms Saroj Punhani JS & FS, Shri K. Balsubramaniam, DDG (Technology), Shri Deepak Khanna from Reliance Communicartions and Punit Garg CEO Relianced Communications also attended the function. Hon'ble MoC in his speech told that we will discuss the issue of formation of Post Bank with RBI so that every depositor will get ATM facility.

Procedure for Pan Allotment Process to Undergo a Change with Effect from 3rd February, 2014

The procedure for PAN allotment process will undergo a change with effect from 03.02.2014. From this date onwards, every PAN applicant has to submit self-attested copies of Proof of Identity (POI), Proof of Address (POA) and Date of Birth (DOB) documents and also produce original documents of such POI/POA/DOB documents, for verification at the counter of PAN Facilitation Centres. The copies of Proof of Identity (POI), Proof of Address (POA) and Date of Birth (DOB) documents attached with PAN application form, will be verified vis a vis their original documents at the time of submission of PAN application at PAN Facilitation Centre. Original documents shall not be retained by the PAN Facilitation Centres and will be returned back to the applicant after verification.  Source : PIB

Time to take a decision

Dear Postmasters,        You know that we are all struggling since 2 years for redressal of our day to day problems with the administration.  But, we couldn’t succeed due to one or another reasons.  We have set up an association at Circle Level and elected ad-hoc body for taking up our problems.  Though succeeded to some extent, we couldn’t solve most of the issues as we are following Maharashtra Postmasters association for getting recognition by the Directorate/Circle office.  Efforts made by Maharashtra Circle are still pending with Directorate.  They didn’t come for our membership verification.        On 12.01.2014 Postmaster Association, Maharashtra circle have taken a decision to join in the existing Postal Supervisors Association which is having Department recognition for getting all kinds of facilities of a recognized association.  In postmasters Maharashtra blog also they advised other circles also to try like this.        Now our C/S SriD.S.K.Prasad had contacted

CBS in Post Offices moving step by step....

Karwar HPO (under North Karnataka Region) and Chembur HPO (under Mumbai Region) has successfully migrated to Core Banking Service (CBS) on 20/1/2014.    It is learnt that H.A.L.II HO and R T Nagar HO in Karnataka Circle and Bhavani HO in Tamil Nadu Circle have already rolled out to CBS.

Wife has right to know hubby’s salary: CIC

New Delhi: Wives of government servants have a “right” to know salary particulars of their husbands and these details should also be made public by their offices as mandated under suo-moto disclosure clause of the RTI Act, the Central information Commission has held. Information Commissioner M Sridhar Acharyulu said every spouse has a right to information about the salary particulars of the other especially for the purpose of maintenance.  “More so, wife has a right to know the salary particulars of the husband, who is an employee of the public authority,” he said. The commissioner further said that the details about a government employee’s salary is no third party information and these have to be voluntarily disclosed under Section 4(1)(b)(x) of the RTI Act.   He said the salary paid to the public authority is sourced from the tax paid by the people in general and it has to be disclosed mandatorily under the RTI section.  “The information about the salary of employee or

India Post   opened  its   account  for the year 2014 by releasing the   first stamp  for the year 2014 on 14th January 2014, commemorating 50 years of   Food Corporation  of India. The Food Corporation of India set up on 14th January 1965 having its first district office at Thanjavur. It is one of the largest corporations in India and probably largest supply chain management in Asia (Second in the world). The Food Corporation of India purchases roughly 15-20 percent of India's wheat output and 12-15 percent of its rice output. The purchases are made from the farmers at the rates declared by the Govt. of India.
