Railways and the proposal has been sent for the clearance of Ministry of
Finance, the Federation expressed its gratitude to the Ministry of Railways and
urged the railway board for issuance of orders before Dussehra

Upradation Benefit for Railway Employees on the eve of
Dussehra
The National Federation
of Indian Railwaymcn (NFIR) thanks the Railway Ministry for agreeing to
issue Orders pertaining to Cadre Restructuring and upgradation of 3335
posts from Group ‘C’ to Group Group ‘B’ (Gazetted) after due consultation
and approval of Ministry of Finance.
About 3.5 lakh employees
are expected to be benefited on account of cadre restructuring all over
Indian Railways. The Cadre Restructuring Committee (CRC) meetings had
taken place from 2010 and the last CRC meeting had taken place on 22nd
February 2013.
These decisions are
expected pursuant to the consistent dialogue and struggle of
NFIR affiliates with the Railway Ministry.
