ఐ.టి. మోడర్నైజేషన్-2012 లో భాగంగా భారత తపాలా శాఖ తపాలా కార్యాలయాలన్నింటిలోను నూతన టెక్నాలజీని ప్రవేశపెట్టి వినియోగదారులకు మరింత మెరుగైన సేవలను సత్వరమే అందించుట కొరకు ప్రణాళికను రూపొందించింది. అందులో భాగంగా సేవింగ్స్ బ్యాంకు కార్యకలాపాలలో ఆన్ లైన్ సేవలను ఎంపిక చేసిన ప్రధాన తపాలా కార్యాలయాలలో ప్రవేశ పెట్టుచున్నారు. తేది. 12.05.2014 న అమలాపురం పోస్టల్ డివిజన్ పరిధిలో గల అమలాపురం ప్రధాన తపాలా కార్యాలయములో సేవింగ్స్ బ్యాంకుకు సంబంధించి కొర్ బ్యాంకింగ్ సేవలను విశాఖపట్నం పోస్టల్ రీజియన్ పోస్ట్ మాస్టర్ జనరల్ శ్రీమతి శారద సంపత్ గారు ప్రారంభించినారు. ఈ ప్రధాన తపాలా కార్యాలయ వినియోగదారులందరూ ఈ నూతన సేవలను వినియోగించుకోవలసినదిగా కోరుచున్నాము. అమలాపురం ప్రధాన తపాల కార్యాలయంలో సుమారు 30 వేల ఖాతాలు 78 కోట్ల రూపాయల బాలన్స్ తో కోర్ బ్యాంకింగ్ పరిధిలోనికి మార్చబడినది. విశాఖపట్నం పోస్టల్ రీజియన్ పోస్ట్ మాస్టర్ జనరల్ శ్రీమతి శారద సంపత్ గారు మాట్లాడుచు ఈ కొర్ బ్యాంకింగ్ వలన ఎప్పుడైనను ఎక్కడైనను ఆన్ లైన్ ద్వార లావాదేవీలు జరుపుకొన వచ్చుననియు, మెరుగైన సేవలను పొందవచ్చుననియు తెలియజేసినారు. ఈ కోర్ బ్యాంకింగ్ సదుపాయం వల్ల ఇంటర్నెట్, మొబైల్ బ్యాంకింగ్, ATM ల ద్వారా మెరుగైన సేవలను పొందవచ్చునని తెలియజేసినారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి అమలాపురం పోస్టల్ సూపరింటెండెంట్ వారు అధ్యక్షత వహించినారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమమునకు కాకినాడ మరియు రాజమండ్రి పోస్టల్ సూపరింటెండెంట్లు శ్రీ అజ్మతుల్ల, శ్రీ యస్.యం.ఎస్.ఎస్.వి. ప్రసాదు గార్లు, అమలాపురం అసిస్టెంట్ సూపరింటెండెంట్ శ్రీ కె.వి.యస్.ఎల్. నరసింహారావు గారు, అమలాపురం హెడ్ పోస్ట్ మాస్టర్ శ్రీ సి.హెచ్.ఆర్.కె. మూర్తి, Inspector Technology శ్రీ ఎ. నారాయణ, అమలాపురం పోస్టల్ ఇనస్పెక్టర్ శ్రీ ఎన్. అనిల్ కుమార్, పోస్టల్ సిబ్బంది, వినియోగదారులు తదితరులు పాల్గొని ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని జయప్రదం చేసారు.
In order to meet the requirements and need of India Post – 2012 Project Core Banking Solution (CBS) will be implemented across India Post covering in all Post Offices in India. As a part of that, the Core Banking Solution has been started at Amalapuram Head Post Office on 12.05.2014 by Smt. Sharda Sampath, I.Po.S., Postmaster General, Visakhapatnam Region, Visakhapatnam.
While addressing in the meeting Smt. Sharda Sampath, Postmaster General told that nearly 30 thousand account with a balance of Rs.78 crores has been migrated to the CBS in Amalapuram HO.
Amalapuram Head Post Office is in 4th place in starting of CBS Operations in Andhra Pradesh Circle. She further stated that the CBS will provide (i) Anytime anywhere banking (on line mediums / SMS) (ii) Standardised, simple and automated processes (iii) Increase in quality of the service provided to the customers (iv) Timely and accurate information for management decision making and (v) To increase the number of customers (vi) To provide multiple delivery channels like Internet, mobile banking, ATMs thereby bringing access to financial services to the door steps of the customers (vii) To enable faster money fund transfers to reach-out to more customers.
