Sub:     Nomination of new Members to the Departmental Council (JCM) in place of Retired members.
Consequent upon retirement of five members of the Staff side of the Departmental Council (JCM), Department of Posts  constituted on provisional basis vide Office Order No.6-2/2002-SR(Vol-II) dated 16th May, 2008 it has now been decided with the approval of the competent authority to nominate the following five members in place of retired members to the Staff side of Departmental Council (JCM), Department of Posts:
List of Retired Members (Staff side)
1.       Shri K.V. Sridharan
2.       Shri K. Raghavendran
3.       Shri S. Karunanidhi
4.       Shri Surendrapal
5.       Shri A.H. Siddique
List of Members nominated in place of Retired Members(Staff Side)
1.       Shri R.N. Parashar, Sub Postmaster, Mathura City Po, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.
2.       Shri N. Subramanian, Postmaster Grade-II, Tirupur Cotton, Market SO-641604, Tirupur Division, Tamilnadu Circle.
3.       Shri C.B. Surve, Overseer,Malabar Hills Post Office, Nort West Division, Mumbai, Maharashtra Circle.

 Other members of the Staff side will remain the same.
2.             The Departmental Council (JCM) will be reconstituted after the next meeting  of Departmental Council(JCM).

                The meeting of JCM (DC) to discuss the new subjects will be held on 27/11/2013 at 10.00 A.M. under the Chairpersonship of Secretary (Posts) in G.P. Roy Committee Room, 2nd Floor, Dak Bhavan, New Delhi.

                Please make it convenient to attend the meeting.  Subjects for discussion in the meeting were circulated vide S.R. Section’s letter of even number dated 23rd July, 2013.

                The meeting will be followed by lunch.

Cabinet approves Implementation of the recommendations of 7th Central Pay Commission

  The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved the implementation of the recommendations of 7 th  Central Pay Commission (CPC) on pay and pensionary benefits.   It will come into effect from 01.01.2016. In the past, the employees had to wait for 19 months for the implementation of the Commission’s recommendations at the time of 5 th  CPC, and for 32 months at the time of implementation of 6 th  CPC.  However, this time, 7 th  CPC recommendations are being implemented within 6 months from the due date. The Cabinet has also decided that arrears of pay and pensionary benefits will be paid during the current financial year (2016-17) itself, unlike in the past when parts of arrears were paid in the next financial year.  The recommendations will benefit over 1 crore employees. ENHANCEMENT OF FINANCIAL POWERS OF HSG, HSG-II AND LSG POST MASTERS ( THESE ORDERS ARE IN FORCE.
