Chittoor to have 1st India Post Payment Bank soon

Tirupati: In a major boost to rural banking, India Post is coming to the door-step of the customers with banking activities. The India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) launched its operations on January 30 in the country with the inauguration of two branches at Raipur and Ranchi simultaneously. The first branch of IPPB in south India will be opened at Chittoor later this month. The department claims that IPPB will become a game changer in the financial world.  The target of the India Post is to open 650 branches by September 30, 2017, in the country. It will be backed by its 1.55 lakh post offices as banking correspondents and is likely to become the biggest bank in the world. In the first stage, a branch of IPPB will be opened in the district headquarters. Later, it will be extended to other branches. JUSTICE FINALLY WON : - SUPREME COURT VERDICT IMPLEMENTED - PROMOTION THROUGH COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION SHOULD NOT BE COUNTED AS MACP

Justice finally won: ================= After having failed in CAT, Madras High court and Supreme Court, the Government finally ordered to implement the judgement in favour of Sri D.Sivakumar, Retd SPM, MMC PO, Chennai city north division who moved the court pleading that promotion through competitive examination should not be counted as MACP. The order of CAT accepting his prayer was challenged by the Government in Madras High court and subsequently in Supreme Court. Its attempt to deny the justice was defeated by the Judiciary. On the direction of the Directorate, the SSPOs, Chennai City north division has now issued order granting MACP lll from 1.9.2008 to the official. The official was promoted to PA cadre from 12.11.1977 through competitive examination. He was granted TBOP on 15.11.1993( now MACP l) and granted BCR ( now MACP ll) on 1.1.2004. Replying to a question in the Rajya Sabha, the Minister of Communications Shri Manoj Sinha said that while the Department is in various stages of discussions with them, decision on formal partnerships will be taken after carefully evaluating the entire value proposition that they propose for the common man. 7th Pay Commission: Lavasa panel might give report to FM today

"The panel's work is in its final stages," said a senior officer A panel headed by former finance secretary Ashok Lavasa, tasked with examining the 7th Pay Commission (7th CPC) recommendations on allowances, might have its final meeting on Tuesday, followed by its report going to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Business Standard has learnt. The matter will then go to the Union Cabinet, on revised allowances for 4.7 million employees. Officials said most of the work on the report was complete. "The panel's work is in its final stages," said a senior officer. If the minister accepts the report, it will only be a matter of days before the Cabinet takes up the matter. It is understood the Centre wants to give the revised allowances from early 2017-18. POSTMASTERS ARE NOT PARTICIPATING IN 16.03.2017 STRIKE

As we know, We are not in JCA and nobody consulted with us to be the part of their JCA. Proper respect and recognition is must towards all our Postmaster cadre members and as well as Supervisors. During September 2016 strike also JCA team were not consulted with us to form the JCA. But during the strike, local office bearers have requested to participate in that September strike after knowing the importance of the Postmasters and supervisors. Without the support of the postmasters and supervisors NO STRIKE CAN BE SUCCESSFUL. Though this strike is projected that for the general cause, all the sectional demands were placed except postmasters and supervisors. After neglected the sectional demands, how could local office bearers are requesting the Postmasters to participate in this strike?
