As per media reports, Government suggested Indian Bank Association (IBA) to move towards CTC (Cost to Company) Stucture in the future Bipartite Agreement for wage revision for bank employees CTC is the typically the total cost that an organisation incurs to hire an employee. Broadly CTC consists of following components Salary like Basic, DA, HRA and other Allowances Perquisites and Reimbursements given to employees This includes incentives, reimbursement of conveyance, medical benefits, Leave encashment etc. Contributions made by organisation to employee for Provident Fund, Gratuity, Medical Insurance , etc. Determination of CTC is a professional method adopted by a corporate and employees are appointed with a fixed CTC so that there will be no hidden or variable cost for hiring an employee. PATNA: Bihar figures at fifth position in the country in terms of receiving foreign remittances, with a total of over Rs 200 crore sent through post offices in the last fiscal. Tamil Nadu , Kerala and Uttar Pradesh are ahead of Bihar in terms of remittance sent by Indians to their home through Western Union money transfer with assistance from post offices, Anil Kumar , Director, Business Development, Bihar postal services told PTI. Like other states, remittances to Bihar also came mostly from gulf countries, he said. Within Bihar, major share of remittance was sent to post offices of Siwan, Bhojpur, Muzzafarpur, Gopalganj and Patna, the Director said. Due to large sums of money coming from abroad, these districts are popularly referred as "money order districts." Kumar said in Bihar, more than one lakh people sent remittance though western union money transfer. Out of 9,614 post offices in the state, 225 of them have the facility of money transfer. Union Cabinet today approved the proposal to increase dearness allowance (DA) to 80 per cent, from existing 72 per cent, benefiting about 50 lakh employees and 30 lakh pensioners of the central government. The hike would be effective from January 1, 2013 and the employees and pensioners will be entitled to arrears. Thus, the combined impact on the exchequer on account of both DA and DR would be of the order of Rs.8629.20 crore per annum and Rs. 10067.36 crore in the financial year 2013-14 (that is for a period of 14 months from January, 2013 to February, 2014).

Dubai, April 15: UAE’s Emirates Post has said that its Express Parcel service saw the second biggest increase of 41 per cent in parcel volumes to India in the first quarter of 2013. The biggest increase of 114 per cent was seen in parcels to China in the first quarter, compared to the corresponding period in 2012. The second biggest destination was India which registered a jump of 41 per cent in parcel volumes, followed by Sudan which saw an increase of 29 percent, Emirates Post said in a statement. Overall, the average growth in parcels to international destinations rose by 19 per cent over the first quarter of 2012. “The robust growth in our Express Parcel service is a result of enhancements introduced by Emirates Post to make the service more attractive. On another level, it reflects the accelerating pace of business activity in the UAE,” Ibrahim Bin Karam, Chief Commercial Officer, Emirates Post Group said. Union Minister of State for Communication and Technology Smt Dr Killi Kruparani on Friday said that post offices in the country would have a new look with the use of advance technology in day-to-day operations. She said that upgradation of the post offices was being done under ‘Project Arrow’ programme. She laid foundation stone for the construction of new post office with Rs.2 crore at Amudalavalasa. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that 2,000 vacant sites of the postal department will be developed under the public-private- partnership mode Ms.Dr Kruparani assured that Cash Transfer Scheme will also be implemented through postal department since more than five crore people were being paid their wages through post office under the MNREGA programme.
